Johnstons of Elgin win best shopping experience award

Johnstons of Elgin has won the National Award for the Best Shopping Experience 2013, fighting off competition from the likes of jewellery store Dornoch Luckenbooth in Dornoch, and gift shop The Drawing Room in Inverness.

The heritage cashmere brand received the title at the national final of the Scottish Thistle Awards 2013 in Stirling Castle on Friday November 15.

Organisers said the company demonstrated a “welcoming experience with a focus on providing exemplary levels of customer service and satisfaction for domestic and international visitors”.

The Scottish Thistle Awards were established by VisitScotland as one of the actions in the national tourism organisation’s strategy to raise standards in Scottish tourism.
