Jon Dorman dies after short illness

Jon Dorman, long-established agent at JD Agencies, sadly passed away today aged 62 after a short illness.

Dorman was an agent in the North of England who, over the years from showrooms in both Manchester and Leeds, represented a multitude of brands including Dutch clothing business Mexx and womenswear brand B Young.

His nephew, Juls Dawson, key account manager at Gio-Goi, said: “He was the youngest of the old-school, and never let an opportunity pass him by. [For him] to be taken so suddenly is a shock to us all.“

The funeral will be held at Leeds Jewish Cemetery on Gelderd Road, Leeds on March 23 at 3.00pm.

I am really saddened to hear this news. I worked with Jon during his time with Mexx. It was my first fashion job and his knowledge, wisdom and humour helped me greatly.
I have only good memories of Jon and send my sincere condolences to his family and friends. God bless you Jon and thank you.
