Jonathan Saunders receives investment from Roksanda backer

Jonathan Saunders has received investment to expand his eponymous brand from Eiesha Bharti Pasricha, a businesswoman and the daughter of telecom baron Sunil Bharti Mittal.

Pasricha joined designer label Roksanda Ilinic as a minority investor last year, to support the brand’s global plans and the opening of a 2,500 sq ft store on London’s Mount Street.

“I am thrilled to be working with Eiesha in this new phase of the brand,” said Glasgow-born Saunders, who will stage his autumn 15 women’s runway show during London Fashion Week on February 22 at Tate Britain.

“There is a special quality to this investment for me as we enjoy a shared ambition for the business and joint vision for the brand.”

Saunders’ designs are stocked in retailers including Harvey Nichols, Liberty, Matches and Net-a-Porter. He received the emerging menswear talent award at the British Fashion Awards in 2012.
