Joules has appointed Ian Filby as non-executive chairman, following the departure of Neil McCausland, who is due to leave at the end of July.
The lifestyle retailer said McCausland has overseen a period of significant growth and development at Joules since joining the business in 2013. This has included the brand’s expansion across channels and into new international markets as well as the group’s successful IPO in 2016.
Ian Filby, who will join Joules from 1 August, is currently CEO of furniture retailer DFS.
Joules CEO Colin Porter said: “Neil has made a fantastic contribution to Joules’ development. He leaves the business in great health and with multiple growth opportunities ahead.
“Ian is a highly respected retail executive and I am delighted that he has chosen to join Joules. I am certain that his experience and knowledge will be invaluable during the next exciting phases of the Joules expansion.”
Filby added: “Joules is a brand with rare heritage and a loyal, growing customer base. I am delighted to be joining at such an exciting time for the brand both in the UK and in its target international markets. I am looking forward to working with the board and the rest of the team to continue to expand Joules as a premium lifestyle brand.”
