K Swiss grows brand portfolio

US sportswear firm K Swiss has added two new brands to its portfolio as it seeks “to become one of the world’s leading multi-brand companies”.

The business has bought clothing and footwear manufacturer One-Distribution, the parent company of brands Supra Footwear and KR3W Denim Co, for an undisclosed amount.

The latest deal brings the number of brands under the K Swiss umbrella to six, comprising K Swiss, boot brand Palladium and sister brand PLDM, OTZ Shoes, Supra and KR3W.

“Having formed [K Swiss Global Brands] just two years ago, we are on an aggressive track to become one of the world’s leading multi-brand companies,” said K Swiss president and chief executive Larry Remington.

“Supra and KR3W are brands that meet the distinctions we are looking for in our portfolio: authenticity, strong brand awareness, a track record of product innovation and opportunities for long-term global growth. We are excited to join forces with the One-Distribution team and to lay a foundation for the future.”

Robert Capener has been appointment brand president of both Supra and KR3W. Capener has previously held senior positions at Adidas, Reebok and No Fear.

K Swiss is a division of Korean retail and business conglomerate E-Land Group.
