Karen Millen launches virtual flagship

Karen Millen has launched a virtual version of its London flagship, which allows customers to browse and shop in the recently-revamped store 24 hours a day.

Shoppers can enter the 8,000 sq ft Knightsbridge store online, click items for more information or to buy, and share images via social media.

The ‘Shop Knightsbridge’ service, created by UK-based business Avenue Imperial, uses high-resolution panoramic photography and software adapted from 3D mapping and architecture.

Mike Shearwood, chief executive of Karen Millen, said: “We’re really excited about the potential for new technology to create a highly engaging, differentiated client experience and Shop Knightsbridge is the perfect example of that.

“Following the opening of our stores on Brompton Road and 5th Avenue in New York, this is an exciting evolution of our flagship strategy and an important step in our ambition to become the world’s leading accessible luxury fashion brand.”
