Karl Lagerfeld hires global retail vice president from LVMH

Karl Lagerfeld has recruited former Fendi president Helen Wright as its global vice president for retail.

Wright joins from LVMH Group, where over the past four years she has held positions including general manager for northern Europe. She has also previously worked Bamford and Ralph Lauren.

She assumes her role on 14 April, and will report directly to chief executive Pier Paolo Righi.

Separately, Karl Lagerfeld has hired Jesus Samper Velasco as vice president of product and merchandising. He was formerly Zara’s brand director for bags and shoes.
