Kate Spade to open new store concept in Glasgow

US accessories brand Kate Spade is to open a new store at Princes Square in Glasgow, which will be the second in the world to feature the brand’s new design concept.

The first was opened at the Westfarms mall in Farmington, Connecticut in the US, in June this year.

The new 1,800 sq ft store will open in spring next year and will join an existing portfolio of more than 140 stores in the US and 175 internationally.

Founded by the late Kate Brosnahan Spade in 1993, Kate Spade New York was bought by the Tapestry Group, which owns handbag brand Coach, in 2017.

Princes Square is also home to retailers including Belstaff, Vivienne Westwood, Reiss, Karen Millen and Cos.
