Pop star Katy Perry has launched a new joint venture with Hong Kong-based Global Brands Group.
Perry has already collaborated with Global Brands on a footwear collection, which was announced last month. Under this new agreement the singer will release a second collection, focusing on other consumer product categories.
In a statement Katy Perry said: “I am creatively stimulated and energised to be a real contributor in the affordable shoe industry. I believe your shoes can be the punctuation to your personality, and therefore I created a whole line of shoes that includes individualistic, colourful, dynamic designs for everyone, especially those who want to experiment with taking a bold step forward.”
Global Brands Group is owned by Hong Kong’s Fung family. The portfolio of brands it has under licence includes Calvin Klein, Juicy Couture and Under Armour.
