Kidswear brand Frugi bags Mulberry man as chairman

Cornish kidswear brand Frugi has appointed Mulberry director Ian Scott as non-executive chairman.

Scott, who is group supply director of Mulberry, will take on the role at Frugi in mid-July this year.

As well as Mulberry, which he joined in 2005, Scott previously worked as head of technology and procurement at Marks & Spencer.

Co-founders of Frugi, Lucy and Kurt Jewson, said this was a significant milestone for their business, describing Scott’s hire as part of Frugi “growing up”.

Scott said: “Frugi has already achieved fantastic success. The brand has got so much right and the fact they have so clearly stayed true to their ethics is admirable. I look forward to supporting the team and working closely with the newly appointed Frugi board to take this brand to the next level.”
