Kit and Ace opens near London’s Borough Market

Kit and Ace has opened a new store close to London’s Borough Market, marking the Canadian retailer’s third London location.

The 1,385 sq ft store at 7 Park Street stocks the full autumn 15 collection, which includes womenswear and menswear made using the brand’s proprietary machine-washable cashmere.

The business opened a 1,800 sq ft pop-up store on Regent Street on November 2 and a permanent unit on Redchurch Street in Shoreditch, east London, in September.

Kit and Ace, founded by the family behind yoga brand Lululemon, has opened 39 stores and eight pop-up stores globally since opening its first store in Vancouver in July last year and has further ambitious growth plans.

“Borough Market has a tradition of both quality products and a local focus – principles we’re strongly aligned with as a brand,” said brand director JJ Wilson. “We’re excited by the positive response from Londoners – it’s a confirmation that this is where we need to be.”

The company plans to open 50 shops worldwide by the end of this year.
