Online retailer Koodos.com has sponsored this year's Vauxhall Fashion Scout, the London Fashion Week event which supports young designers, and has pledged to mentor some of the designers taking part.
Now in its fourth season at London Fashion Week, Vauxhall Fashion Scout works with emerging designers to help push them forward into the fashion world and raise their profile.
Koodos.com has part-funded the event and has also pledged to help mentor designers including Felder Felder and Aganovich in a tie-up that could see their designs being sold on the Koodos website.
Koodos.com marketing director Amanda Metcalfe said: "It’s a great opportunity for koodos to become involved with such a forward-thinking event, especially as it forms a crucial part of London Fashion Week. In addition to financial support we have a lot to offer in terms of educating the designers about the business side of the fashion world."
A Vauxhall Fashion Scout spokesman added: "Koodos.com brings a lot to the table in terms of funding and knowledge. It’s good for the designers too as it’s likely that in the future their items could be sold through the site."
Koodos.com was launched in 2006 and sells brands including McQueen, Sara Berman and Prada and low cost prices. The business is backed by venture capital business Atlas Venture
