Koovs appoints ex-Primark executive as design boss

Indian etailer Koovs has appointed the former design manager at Primark, Samantha Chilton, as its new head of design.

Chilton led the UK and Northern European womenswear design team at Primark from 2012 to 2016. Since leaving the value retailer, she has designed ranges for Zara, Pull & Bear, Mango, Forever 21, River Island and Boohoo while working as a design consultant.

Chilton previously worked as senior knitwear designer at Evans and as a senior designer at A Wear.

Mary Turner, CEO of Koovs said: “Sam has an absolute passion for affordable fast fashion. She has a talent for delivering emerging seasonal ‘must-haves’ and first-to-market catwalk trends. She is highly experienced in working with the supplier base in India, so her strengths are aligned to our core strategy and goals.”
