KPMG appoints Paul Martin as UK head of retail

KPMG has appointed Paul Martin as UK head of retail, replacing David McCorquodale who will retire at the end of April after 32 years at the firm.

Martin, who takes on the role from 1 October, is managing director of KPMG Boxwood and was formerly managing director of retail analyst Planet Retail.

Liz Claydon, head of KPMG’s consumer goods and retail business, said: “I would like to thank David for his leadership and commitment throughout his four years in charge of our retail practice. He has significantly raised our profile and capabilities in the sector.

”I look forward to working with Paul, who brings international connections, innovative thinking and significant operational skills to the fore at a time when the retail sector continues to undergo significant structural change.”
