Former Hackett and Monsoon Accessorize director of ecommerce Kristine Kirby has joined software firm ThoughtWorks as executive strategy and innovation director for retail.
Kirby left Hackett last summer after less than a year in the newly created job. Before that she held a number of consultancy roles.
She was UK managing director of private sales site Zulily from November 2011 to October 2012 and ecommerce and multichannel director at Monsoon Accessorize from June 2010 to June 2011.
She has previously held positions at lifetstyle retailer Fat Face and women’s young fashion brand Lipsy.
ThoughtWorks, whose head office is in Illinois in the US, aims to grow its retail business unit’s European revenues from $22m (£14.6m) to $40m (£26.5m) by 2016.
The retail business unit - which was founded three years ago and the UK, Germany, Italy and Turkey - advises clients including Arcadia Group and JD Sports on digital, retail and turnaround strategy. “We want to tackle our clients’ challenges using technology,” explained Kirby.
