Kurt Geiger opens new concept in John Lewis

Kurt Geiger has opened a concession in the relaunched womenswear floor in John Lewis’s Oxford Street flagship.

The Shoe Room by Kurt Geiger opened on 1 September, and offers a “curated designer collection” in store and online, including 15 labels that are new to John Lewis, such as Stuart Weitzman, Karl Lagerfeld, Isabel Marant, Paul Smith, Coach. It is also the first British high street stockist of SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker.

The 1,130 sq ft concession is staffed by trained shoe stylists, and there is a fitting room to encourage customers to match shoes with clothing.

”This is all part of our ambition to offer our customers differentiated products and unique experiences they cannot find anywhere else on the high street,” Camilla Rowe, head of buying women’s accessories at John Lewis, said of the partnership with Kurt Geiger.

Kurt Geiger has been stocked by John Lewis previously, but a spokeswoman for the brand said this was the first “store within a store” of its nature.

Sales of SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker had been particularly strong already, she added.
