Borletti Group, the Italian company behind department stores La Rinascente and Printemps, has made a bid for the Christian Lacroix fashion house in conjunction with the designer himself.
Regis Valliot, the administrator of Christian Lacroix, confirmed it had received a bid from Borletti on Monday, which was the deadline for offers to be made. A bid from restructuring specialists Bernard Krief Consultants, is reported to have been rejected.
There are understood to have been two additional undisclosed bidders who have also been rejected.
In September, the French commercial court will rule on the future of the Christian Lacroix fashion house, which fell into administration in May.
