Lacoste has parted ways with designer Felipe Oliveira Baptista after eight years, the sportswear brand has confirmed.
Baptista had worked as creative director for Lacoste since 2010.
Commenting on Baptista’s departure Thierry Guibert, chief executive of Lacoste Group said: “Felipe has participated over the last eight years, in the writing of a key chapter in the history of Lacoste.
”We are very grateful to him for contributing to the artistic and commercial development of our brand. A new stage will now open and I am extremely confident in the future successes of our brand, emblematic of French know-how and elegance. We wish Felipe every success in his next projects.”
Lacoste creative studio will design the next collection and a new organisation of the creative direction of the brand will be announced in the coming months.
Last month Drapers exclusively revealed that Ugg’s former managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Gianni Georgiades is joining Lacoste as chief executive of its footwear division.
