Members of his design team are understood to have been informed of his exit this morming and all Lanvin employees were called into a meeting this afternoon in Paris, according to WWD.com.

The move is thought to have come following disagreements between the Israeli designer and company owner Shaw-Lan Wang and chief executive Michèle Huiban.

Last week Raf Simons resigned from Christian Dior citing personal reasons.

Elbaz is thought to be a likely candidate to be named as a successor.

Lanvin has not yet responded to Drapers’ request for comment.
