Boden has hired Gav Thompson as its new chief customer officer.
Starting in October, Thompson replaces Perry Herriman and will report into chief executive Jill Easterbrook.
Thompson was most recently chief marketing officer at Yopa Property. He was also previously chief marketing officer at Paddypower and European director of marketing innovation at O2.
He is also the founder of mobile network Giffgaff, which was later bought by O2.
Easterbrook said: “Gav’s experience and reputation demonstrates his passion for driving customercentric businesses globally. With a wealth of knowledge in the tech and digital industries, Gav will be a huge asset in driving our business growth. We are looking forward enormously to welcoming him into the Boden family.”
Thompson said: “I am really thrilled to be joining Boden, an established British brand that I have known and admired for the last 20 years. They’re at a really exciting stage of their journey and I look forward to getting stuck in.”
Earlier this month the lifestyle retailer reported strong annual results, with sales up 13% to £347.1m for the year to 31 December 2017, while pre-tax profits soared from £1m to £27m.
