Eight new stores for Oliver Bonas

Oliver Bonas will open eight new UK stores this year after receiving a £15m revolving credit facility from HSBC.

Drapers has learned that one of the first stores to open will be in Brighton, where the British fashion and lifestyle retailer will relocate its current store to a larger location.

Located in the new Hannington Lane development, the two-floor 3,295sq ft store will open in April, with a 10-year lease.

The eight new locations will bring Oliver Bonas’ total store count to 85 and created at least 80 new jobs. The expansion plan will kick start with a new store in Gatwick North Terminal.

It will also use the money to increase its in-house design capabilities.

Founder and managing director Oliver Tress said: ”While trade on the high street has been challenging, Oliver Bonas continues to grow. We have stuck to the core principle that makes our lifestyle offer unique: doing our little bit to make living a joyful experience.

”For us, this means best-in-class customer service, a welcoming and inspiring experience in store and online, and a highly curated homeware and fashion collection, all designed in house in our Oliver Bonas Studio.”
