Indian leather bag brand Nappa Dori has opened its first European store in Seven Dials in London.
The two-storey shop is located on Monmouth Street and occupies 1,400 sq ft.
Founder Gautam Sinha told Drapers he designs all the stores: “The brand DNA is very clean and minimal, with a mix of mid-century modern influences and clean industrial elements.
“All our shops share the same language … to create the ambiance and give warmth to the entire store.”
Alongside Nappa Dori’s full range of bags and luggage, accessories, stationery and homeware, the London boutique will incorporate its cafe concept, Café Dori.
Sinha added: “The high volume of tourists and locals who frequent Seven Dials made it the obvious choice for our first UK and European venture. Embarking upon this new market is a natural next step and has always been a key goal for our business.”
Nappa Dori launched in India in 2010 and has since opened seven stores across the country, and one in the Maldives.
It has also partnered with brands including Kiehl’s, Qatar Airways and Chivas Regal.
