Former Liberty CEO joins Goodhood board

East London independent retailer Goodhood has appointed former CEO of Liberty, Iain Renwick, to the board as a non executive director.

Renwick was CEO of Liberty from 2002 to 2008, where he worked on restoring the London department store back to its position as a globally-recognised leading fashion destination.

More recently he was executive chairman of brand and sustainability consultancy Eco-Age, as well as director for a range of organisations.

Goodhood, located in Shoreditch, was opened in 2007 and now sells more than 200 brands across menswear, womenswear, lifestyle and cosmetics.

“I feel that if Arthur Liberty, the revolutionary retailer of his times, were alive today he would be doing exactly what Goodhood is by creating and building from their east London base a new branded retail multi-channel concept that is becoming a true leader for a new generation,” said Renwick.
