Hackett buying director to join new retail delivery service

Buying director at Hackett London, Carsten Skovgaard, will join a new retail delivery service called Drop-Off in the same role on 28 January.

Skovgaard joined Hackett in 2013 after stepping down as formalwear buyer at John Lewis. He began his career as a menswear buyer at Harrods in 1996.

Drop-off is a new retail delivery platform launching in spring this year. It offers a 24-hour a day delivery and returns service promising zero carbon footprint by offsetting emissions.

The service will launch first in London before expanding to all major cities in the UK.

Speaking to Drapers, Skovgaard said: ”I am very excited to join Drop Off, a great addition to the London retail landscape, combining the ultimate convenience for our time short generations with a helping hand to the high street. Not only that but will also provide employment to many and has enviable green credentials.”
