Premium womenswear retailer LK Bennett has appointed advisers to consider options that could involve a sale.
The brand’s founder, Linda Bennett has appointed AlixPartners to oversee a strategic review with the possibility of a sale later this year.
LK Bennett’s most recent results, for the year to 31 July 2017, showed an operating loss of £5.9m.
The news comes after Bennett increased her investment in the company to buy out the remaining equity from private equity owner Phoenix Equity Partners in September 2017.
The deal was made for an undisclosed sum.
Phoenix Equity bought LK Bennett in 2008 in a deal that valued the company at £80m-£100m at the time. The company was put up for sale in the previous year.
