Lost Ink buyer opens indie in Stamford

A former River Island and Lost Ink buyer has opened a new fashion and lifestyle independent called Iris & Violet today on St Mary’s Street in Stamford, Lincolnshire.

The 430 sq ft store features accessories, homeware, gifting and independent fashion brands, including FRNCH, Grace & Mila, and YAS.

Clothing prices range from £15 for a basic T-shirt to £180 for a leather jacket.

The store will host regular after-hours personal shopping experiences, where customers can enjoy free prosecco while receiving one-to-one styling advice.

The unit was previously a high-end drapers shop in the 1780s that dressed members of aristocracy. Iris & Violet will take the shop back to its fashion heritage, and the store has been refurbished to recapture the building’s original features.

Iris & Violet founder Bethany Scott-Morris, who worked as a buyer at Lost Ink from 2016 to January this year, said: “My aim was to create the ultimate fashion and lifestyle destination store, where my fellow Stamford residents could come and discover a whole host of incredible brands that aren’t currently available elsewhere locally.”

Scott-Morris worked as an assistant buyer at River Island until July 2014.
