Independent British luxury brand Temperley London has appointed former Max Mara boss Luca Donnini as its new chief executive.
Donnini spent 20 years with Max Mara developing the brands global expansion as its president of worldwide markets. He left in 2008 to become president at Guess Europe. During his five years with the business, he grew revenues to $1bn (£780m).
Donnini is also the founder and chairman of advisory boutique firm Officina Lifestyle SA.
He said: ”Temperley represents one of the very few British lifestyle brands with an international appeal; it has great opportunity in this challenging momentum and I am very excited in supporting [founder Alice Temperley] and all the team to transform the business model in the most appropriate way to face market change and increase profitability.”
Temperley London has four standalone stores including its Mayfair flagship and stores in Dubai and Qatar. It is distributed in more than 30 countries with more than 150 wholesale accounts. Temperley Bridal is distributed in more than 11 countries with 40 wholesale accounts.
