Present London shuts its doors

Shoreditch-based menswear independent Present London has closed, after 10 years in business.

The retailer announced its closure on its social media channels. Located at 140 Shoreditch High Street, Present London stocked menswear brands including Stone Island, White Mountaineering and French workwear brand Vetra. Alongside menswear, the store also offered grooming and lifestyle products.

Present London was founded by Steve Davies and Eddie Prendergast in 2009.

Distributor and marketing firm Fourmarketing bought the independent out of administration in May 2016 for an undisclosed sum.

Fourmarketing launched its own retail concept 18 Montrose in March 2016, and hoped the acquisition of Present London would help to broaden its offer to include more modern heritage and British brands.

Prendergast stayed on as a creative consultant following the sale.

Fourmarketing has been contacted for comment.
