Radley and Ascot launch handbag collaboration

Luxury handbag brand Radley has teamed up with Ascot Racecourse to launch a collection of occasionwear bags for spring 19.

Launching in late April, the range features five designs including shoulder, clutch and cross-body bags in “a vibrant palette of summer hues”.

Retail prices will range from £99 to £189.

The range will be available in Radley stores across the UK and internationally, as well as online, and will be sold at the racecourse’s Ascot Shop.

Julia Darlington, chief brand officer at Radley, said: “Royal Ascot is the perfect partner for Radley London, celebrating all that is truly great about the British summer. Each bag is crafted from the finest quality leather, adding a distinctive finish and flair to any summer event outfit.”

Juliet Slot, commercial director at Ascot, welcomed the new relationship: “While racing is at the heart of Ascot, the fashion component is fundamental for us and our customers. It is part of the day that helps create the sense of occasion that our customers feel is so strongly associated with Royal Ascot.”

The announcement comes after adjusted EBITDA at Radley jumped 64% year on year to £6.3m in the year to 29 April 2018.

The company now ships to 46 countries and has dedicated websites in the UK, US, Germany and Japan, and a European Union-wide site.
