Womenswear etailer Sosandar has reported a strong start to autumn trading as the company holds its first AGM today (19 September).
Sosandar, which joined AIM in November 2017, said the strong sales growth it had enjoyed earlier in the year had continued into the summer months. It added that this was achieved without having to resort to extended discounted promotional activity.
Bill Murray, non-executive chairman of Sosandar, said: “Autumn has begun well with further expansion of the product range and strong trading across all product categories. We have been particularly encouraged with the performance of higher ticket items such as coats and leather goods.”
The etailer said it had moved to a seven-day logistics service and had upgraded its ecommerce platform.
“Both of these investments demonstrate our commitment to building for growth whilst providing the best customer experience,” said Murray. “These will, in turn, provide our growing number of repeat customers with improved delivery options and increased functionality as we continue to scale.
“We are very pleased with trading so far during the year which has been in line with management’s expectations and we look forward to updating on the first six months of our financial year to 30 September 2018 in due course,” he added.
In July Sosandar revealed that sales had jumped 387% for the year to 31 March 2018 to £1.4m, as the womenswear etailer increased product categories, invested in marketing and improved its use of data.
