Weekday CEO joins Eton Group

Premium shirt brand Eton has appointed current managing director of H&M group fascia Weekday, David Thörewik, as its new chief executive.

Thörewik joined Weekday as a buying manager in 2009 and has been managing director since 2013. Before that, he was chief executive at Swedish menswear brand Brothers & Sisters Sverige.

He will take over from Hans Davidson, who has been chief executive at Eton Group AB since 1989 and will continue as a senior adviser.

The announcement comes as Eton launches its new digital platform and sets its sight on growth in North America.

“During the last few years we have invested in world leading IT and logistics systems that will serve as a great platform for strong growth across all relevant channels,” said Davidson. “During 2019 Eton will be fully digitalised and ready to take on a digital customer journey, especially in North America, which, today, is our biggest market.”

Eton was founded in 1928 and has headquarters in Sweden.
