Laura Ashley fashion grows as total sales dip

Laura Ashley saw total retail sales drop by 0.9% for the 19 weeks to 8 June, although fashion like-for-likes were up.

The lifestyle retailer did not break out figures for its fashion performance, but said it “recorded like-for-like growth” during the period. Across the group like-for-like sales rose 0.7%.

The 19 week period saw the closure of three stores – one in Llanelli, one in Aberystwyth and one in Richmond, while stores were opened in Waltham Cross Homebase and Bishop Stortford Homebase
