LCM shakes up venues for next edition

London Collections Men has reshuffled its venues for the autumn 16 edition in January, adding a new show space and bringing its designer showrooms together under one roof.

It comes after Drapers revealed LCM had lost the use of its show space at the Old Sorting Office, which is being converted into office and retail space.

LCM will now use 180 The Strand – near Somerset House – as a secondary space on the Saturday and Sunday of the three-day event, which takes place from January 8-11 2016. It will also house the LCM “bar”, a hub for press and buyers.

The designer showrooms will also be brought together at Victoria House near Holborn, spanning two floors.

In past seasons, Victoria House was used as the main show space and showrooms for accessories and Topman-sponsored talent initiative NewGen Men, while the ready-to-wear showroom was based at The Hospital Club in nearby Covent Garden.

The British Fashion Council has released the provisional show schedule for LCM, which includes Moschino, Pringle of Scotland and Tom Ford. The final schedule will be announced on December 7.

Recipients of this year’s NewGen Men – which supports emerging designers to show their autumn 16 collections at LCM – include designers Liam Hodges, Agi & Sam and Astrid Andersen.
