Le Coq Sportif UK boss joins Rocket Dog owner as Derek Bowen exits

Millennial Brands Europe, owner of footwear brands Rocket Dog, Kelsi Dagger and Pour La Victoire, has hired former Le Coq Sportif UK country manager Michael Routledge as general manager, as European boss Derek Bowen resigns from the business.

Routledge has been at Le Coq Sportif for seven years. He was previously merchandise director at Puma.

Bowen, who joined the company in 2011 as European managing director, is understood to be perusing new opportunities in the outdoor market. He was previously sales director for northern Europe for Wolverine Worldwide and spent 10 years at Timberland working his way up to the position of senior global director of product.

Cathy Taylor, CEO of Millennial Brands, said: “Mike brings with him a wealth of relevant experience and expertise and a proven track record of success in nurturing brands through challenging and competitive environments.”
