Lee Cooper debuts in the US

British denim label Lee Cooper will launch in the US for the first time after its parent company Iconix Brand Group agreed a partnership with distributer I Brands.

I Brands now holds the licence to produce and distribute Lee Cooper’s men’s and womenswear collections to department and independent stores in the US and will show the spring 15 range at trade show Project in Las Vegas from today (August 18) until August 20. The company has not disclosed details about which retailers or locations it is targeting for the brand.

The US push and deal with I Brands comes after licensing firm Iconix Brand Group bought the Lee Cooper label in February 2013 for $72m (£46.2m). Lee Cooper is distributed in 80 countries through a network of more than 30 licensees, and has 240 stores worldwide.

In June, the brand announced it was relauching its menswear collection in Ireland.
