Leeds concession and City store fill a gap for Jaeger

Upmarket womenswear retailer Jaeger is planning two significant openings this year, with new outlets in Leeds and the City of London. Chief executive Belinda Earl told Drapers the absence of a retail presence in Leeds for the past few years meant a large part of its customer base had been overlooked, but it would now open a concession in House of Fraser. The retailer will also unveil a 2,300 sq ft standalone store in Cheapside in the City of London in October. 'We recognise it is a huge opportunity for our brand,' said Earl. 'Our target customers are working in the City.'
