Levi’s appoints Walmart executive Marc Rosen as ecommerce boss

Levi’s has appointed ex-Walmart ecommerce head Marc Rosen to lead its ecommerce business.

Rosen, who was senior vice president of global ecommerce at Walmart since January 2011, will start his new role as executive vice president and president of global ecommerce on May 5.

In his new position Rosen will be responsible for driving growth and profitability in the company’s online business, as well as focusing on the company’s highest growth markets China, France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the US.

Prior to his ecommerce role at Walmart, Rosen was senior vice president of information systems at the company with responsibility for Walmart’s global merchandising, supply chain and store systems. He also held senior leadership positions for Walmart’s international business unit and Ernst & Young.
