The Exhibition at London Fashion Week will play host to 120 exhibitors this season with 22 designers new to the event.
The British Fashion Council (BFC) has curated emerging and established accessories, jewellery and ready to wear designer brands, which will showcase during London Fashion Week starting on February 17.
The Exhibition, which will be located at Somerset House, will be situated over two floors instead of four. This year the BFC has also focussed on creating a more tailored and visually merchandised feel to the showcase.
It will feature new exhibitors including footwear designers Alain Quilici, Alejandro Ingelmo, Julian Hakes and Kat Maconie. Other newcomers include NEWGEN designers Huishan Zhang and Lucas Nascimento.
The Exhibition will have areas for BFC initiaves including NEWGEN sponsored by Topshop, showcasing UK designers tipped for success; Estethica sponsored by Monsoon, showcasing eco-friendly designers; and the BFC/Elle Talent Launch Pad.
The Exhibition will be open from 10am to 7pm from February 17 to 20 and from 10am to 6pm on February 21. On Menswear Day, which is February 22, NEWGEN Men and Fashion East installations will be open from 12pm to 5pm.
Caroline Rush, chief executive officer of the BFC said: “This season sees a newly curated style of The Exhibition at Somerset House, this new layout and format will offer press and buyers a much more tailored and edited selection of British talent, this will help to bring more focus to the designers participating in the Exhibition. February sees the welcome return of seasoned exhibitors plus exciting and brand new designers providing visitors with the best possible talent in the UK fashion industry.”
