Global supply chain giant Li & Fung has appointed Valerie Lavion as executive director to head up its childrenswear platform and department stores in North America.
Lavion, who has already taken over the role and is based in Hong Kong, will also work on the company’s strategy of boosting speed, digitalisation and innovation across the whole business. She reports to Carmen Chau, president of Li & Fung Supply Chain Solution.
Prior to Li & Fung, Lavion has nearly 20 years of international experience in branded clothing, department stores and speciality retail. She had held senior management roles at US departments store Sears and Kohls, as well as at lingerie chain Victoria Secret and at US womenswear brand Ann Taylor.
“[She] brings a wealth of experience in global strategic sourcing, product development, production management supplier relations and change management, all of which she will leverage in her role on our team,” said Chau. “I look forward to the significant value she will bring our and the business overall.”
