Harrogate lingerie show will preview LFW ranges

A raft of directional lingerie brands will preview their spring 10 ranges at lingerie trade show Harrogate Lingerie & Swimwear Exhibition before showcasing them at London Fashion Week in September.

For the first time, the lingerie and swimwear show – which takes place from August 16-18 – will have a dedicated section for 12 directional brands, including Eternal Spirits, Yes Master, Ayten Gasson, Ell & Cee, Modern Courtesan, Kiss Me Deadly and Damaris. The brands will then show at LFW in a dedicated showroom at Somerset House. LFW runs from September 18-22.

Harrogate Lingerie & Swimwear Exhibition director Jo Smith said: “We’ve created this area for some fantastic British designers to preview their LFW collections. This is the first time there will be a substantial lingerie and swimwear section at LFW, which will probably be called Boudoir at London Fashion Week.”

Harrogate has also lured back lingerie giant Janet Reger. It will show on a stand adjacent to the directional zone of the show. Janet Reger has not shown for several years at the Harrogate event but returns to celebrate Reger’s 40th anniversary as a lingerie designer.

Another addition to Harrogate is a “walkers” scheme, where experienced buyers will advise new buyers on how to build a balanced range. Walkers include Lynda Seager-Hillier of supplier Courtaulds and Aimee Richards of retailer Victoria’s Secret. To book an appointment, visit
