Lipsy moves to bigger HQ following successful launch of catalogue

Women’s young fashion brand Lipsy has moved its head office to Glen House at 200-208 Tottenham Court Road in London to accommodate its growing etail operations and the launch of a catalogue.

The new office is twice the size of the Next-owned brand’s previous HQ on nearby Berners Street in London’s West End.

Online and mail order catalogue Lipsy & Co, which also features women’s young fashion and footwear brands including Ravel and Little Mistress, launched in March.

It is understood the catalogue has proved successful and another publication for autumn will launch in September with 100 brands.

The company is recruiting for Lipsy & Co, with positions including its first ecommerce director, head of creative, design manager and digital marketing co-ordinator.

Separately, senior designer Victoria Barker has left after 10 years to join Arcadia’s Wallis chain. Lipsy declined to comment, but Drapers understands her role has been filled internally.

Working at Lipsy since March 2005, Barker was responsible for brand direction, strategy and trends, as well as creating celebrity ranges with singer Pixie Lott, reality TV stars the Kardashians and actress Michelle Keegan.

Next bought Lipsy, which has 57 stores and concessions in the UK and Ireland, for £17m in 2008.
