Footwear brand Lisa Kay is unveiling a handbag collection for spring 14.
The 42-piece range of leather and fabric bags include totes, shoppers, shoulder bags and cross-body bags in camel, taupe, pale blue and metallic. All bags are finished with a metal Lisa Kay floral emblem.
Eponymous designer Kay said the product extension was a result of “demand” from shoppers, noting a small trial range for spring 13 had quickly sold out.
She added: “There’s been a great demand from our existing customers to find a collection of commercial handbags which is stylish enough to sit alongside their current fashion and footwear offer, but priced well enough to be an easy add-on sale.”
Wholesale prices range from £8 to £40. The accessories label will be showing at Birmingham tradeshow Moda from August 11 to 13 and Kay hopes to sign up 100 new accounts with “quality independents” and “larger department stores.”
Lisa Kay currently has two standalone shoe stores in the UK and the footwear collection is stocked in John Lewis and Fenwick’s.
