Little Mistress Group announces Li & Fung deal

Little Mistress Group has signed a three-year deal with global supply chain managers Li & Fung to supply and distribute the brand house’s new offering of handbags, accessories and small leather goods from autumn 15.

Li & Fung will distribute the ranges to new customers, while Little Mistress Group will distribute them to existing clients including Asos.com, Next, Shop Direct, Zalando and House of Fraser.

An initial 20-25-piece handbag collection will launch at Pure London at Kensington Olympia on February 8-10. It has been divided into four categories: classic key shapes, a gold and black range, a colour block range and small accessories.

Wholesale prices will range from £20 for smaller items including clutches to £30-60 for larger pieces including totes. Each range will come with purses, priced at between £10 and £25.

The other collections comprising accessories and small leather goods will follow later in the spring.

Mark Ashton, chief executive of Little Mistress Group, said the partnership with Li & Fung would create more opportunities for the brand house in Europe, as distribution would be “slicker”.

He added: “For us, it was about working with the best out there and Li & Fung tick all of the boxes. Our ultimate aim is to venture into retail, but without the addition of these new categories, that would be near impossible.”

Little Mistress Group owns the brands Little Mistress, Paper Dolls and Girls on Film. It exports to Spain, Germany, Belgium, Italy, the US, South Africa, Switzerland, Holland, Poland, Slovakia and the Middle East. It launched its own footwear range in 2014.
