Premium womenswear retailer LK Bennett has appointed a former Burberry director to head up its merchandising team.
Sarah Thornley joined the chain as merchandising director last month and is based at the company’s head-quarters in London’s Cavendish Square.
She was previously buying strategy director at luxury indie mini-chain Matches and prior to this was at British luxury brand Burberry for 13 years, most recently as global director of merchandise for online and director of merchandise for Europe. Thornley has also worked at luxury department store Harvey Nichols.
LK Bennett chief executive Didier Drouet said: “Sarah Thornley brings with her a wealth of expertise in merchandising, particularly from a luxury perspective. We look forward to developing current opportunities and are excited about our continued UK and International expansion in our stores and online.”
