LK Bennett appoints Gant's Tracy Stone as group commercial director

LK Bennett has appointed Gant’s global sales and distribution director Tracy Stone to the newly created role of group commercial director, effective from February 16.

Reporting directly to chief executive Robert Bensoussan, Stone will be responsible for the premium women’s footwear and fashion retailer’s commercial vision and strategy and will lead the UK and European teams. The US team will continue to report to Bensoussan directly.

Stone joined Swedish lifestyle brand Gant as managing director in November 2006 and moved into the global sales director role in August 2012, where she was responsible for all subsidiaries, joint ventures and distributors, as well as ecommerce.

Before that, she was head of beauty at House of Fraser from 2004 to 2006. She has also held roles at Space NK, Selfridges, River Island and Bhs.

Bensoussan said: “Tracy brings extensive commercial experience in the accessible luxury arena with a clear market vision. We are excited to introduce this significant new role to further develop our strong commercial portfolio here and overseas.”
