LK Bennett founder returns to chain

Linda Bennett is set to return to LK Bennett, the eponymous retailer she founded in 1990.

Bennett, who sold the chain in 2008 to Phoenix Equity Partners, has returned to the business at the request of new chief executive Darren Topp, and will work one day a week alongside the retailer’s design team, The Telegraph has reported.

Former BHS chief executive Topp joined the premium womenswear retailer in September last year.

LK Bennett’s turnover fell 1.8% in the year to August 2015, its most recently published results. Its group operating EBITDA increased by £400,000 to £3m.
