Loake ready to pounce with Puma shoe tie-up

Northamptonshire footwear manufacturer Loake has teamed up with sports brand Puma to create a limited edition hybrid sports shoe - a first for the Goodyear-welted brand. The shoe, which is made from calf leather and cut, punched and sewn by hand, will carry a gold embossed 'Puma by Loake, England' logo on the leather insole. It is part of the Puma Bespoke Collection, which aims to recreate classic Puma styles with traditional influences.

Loake has manufactured traditional formal men's footwear since 1880 and this is the brand's most directional project to date. The limited edition shoe, which is based on Loake's interpretation of the Puma Clyde style, will be sold exclusively through menswear etailer Oki-ni from the end of September. Only 100 pairs are available and each pair will retail for £180.
