Lois celebrates 50th with capsule line

Denim brand Lois will re-release 20 styles from its archive to selected stockists to mark its 50th anniversary.

Lois Legends, a capsule collection of 10 men’s and 10 women’s pieces, will launch for spring 13. It will include The One, the first style of Lois jeans ever made, a 1970s denim jacket – with one sleeve slightly longer than the other – and jumbo corduroy trousers.

Godfrey Ampomah, partner at Woven Sales & Marketing agency, which represents the brand in the UK, said he would target 30 indies including premium menswear indies Present in Shoreditch and Oi Polloi in Manchester.

Wholesale prices for the capsule collection will be 10% to 15% higher than the Lois mainline, with entry price points starting at about £23.

Lois will showcase the collection at streetwear show Bread & Butter Berlin on July 4 to 6. It will also be available to view alongside the Lois mainline at the Woven Sales & Marketing showroom in Hoxton, east London.
