London Collections: Men and Pitti Uomo set for second clash

London Collections: Men is set to clash with Pitti Uomo for the second season running.

The British Fashion Council (BFC) today confirmed its spring 14 shows will run from June 16 to 18.

Florence menswear show Pitti Uomo will run from June 18 to 21, meaning the shows will overlap for one day.

For the autumn 13 editions LC:M and Pitti clashed on two days, with LCM taking place on January 7 to 9, putting it almost head-to-head with the well-established Florence event, which ran from January 8 to 11.

BFC chief executive officer Caroline Rush said: “Following conversations with many of the key international buyers and press who travel to Europe for menswear these dates were recognised as the optimum solution, allowing ample time at both showcases. The crossover was discussed with the organisers of Pitti Uomo ahead of our announcement and we believe we can work together to the benefit of everyone attending London Collections: Men and Pitti.”

Spring 14 will be the third season for the London men’s show with events taking place across the Hospital Club and the Old Sorting Office. The LC: M schedule will be announced in mid-April.
