London Fashion Week announces 2009 dates

The British Fashion Council has unveiled the dates for next year's London Fashion Weeks.

Next year, London Fashion Week will take place from February 20-24, for the autumn 09 season and September 18-22 for the spring 2010 season.

The Exhibition at London Fashion Week will run from Saturday to Tuesday during both sets of dates.

In February 2009, there will be one day overlap with New York Fashion Week as the fashion capitals re-adjust their scheduling to accommodate a shift in dates.

Hilary Riva, chief executive of the British Fashion Council, said: "This February an overlap with New York has been agreed by the majority of designers showing at London Fashion Week. February is the first fashion week of the 25-year celebrations of British Fashion and we look forward to an exciting week showcasing the very best of British design."
